Who We Are:

Westminster Church (PCA), located in downtown Boone, NC, was organized in 1987.

Westminster is a place to worship, hear and study the revealed Word of God without the concern of having any non-scriptural additions or scripture deletions reflected in church doctrine. This is because we believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

At Westminster we believe we must live out the Great Commandment of love for God and neighbor. Accordingly: Our promise to you is that we will accept you in love as we both strive to grow in God's grace. Jesus told us "To love our neighbor as ourselves." We believe that teaches us two things. First, the church is supposed to be a body of believers who work out God's love through Jesus Christ towards one another. Second, everyone who worships with us is to be accepted and welcomed in that love that we strive to exhibit at all times.

What We Believe:

As followers of Christ we believe that salvation (eternal life) comes through:

  • Christ alone (Sola Christus)
  • Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura)
  • Grace alone (Sola Gratia)
  • Faith alone (Sola Fide)
  • Glory to God Alone (Soli Deo Gloria)
